After having a nice long nap, you awoke with the soft glow of moonlight shining on your eyes and body through the swaying palm trees. The sound of the low tide was calming as it washed over the sand, sparkling from the light of the moon. Waking from your nap, you looked ahead with your blurred vision out to the sea from your spot under the palm tree. Slowly regaining your consciousness from the sleep, you began to feel something heavy on your lap. Too tired to move your head down, you waited a few moments until your gaze drifted downward. Your eyes snapped open and your sight cleared, realizing that the person on your lap was Zoro, still sleeping on. He looked perfectly adorable when he slept. Even the silly little grunts and moans he let out during his sleep were enough to make you giggle.

Glancing around, you couldn’t see any of the crew nearby. Not too far away, a fire still burned, and you made out the passed out sleeping figures of your crew mates and their loud snoring. Thinking to yourself that you were here with Zoro in your lap and no one else was conscious to know made your heart speed up slightly. Then, a thought crossed your mind as you looked at the sleeping Zoro. Smiling slightly, you leaned in closer to Zoro’s face, carefully trying to not wake him. Nearing his lips, before you carried out your plan, you were surprised by Zoro kissing you. With every second passing by, his kiss got more playful until he ceased, leaving you in a dumbfounded stare at him. There was a long pause, as you couldn’t take your eyes off his smirking face.

“Did you really think you could get me back _______? Though you are quite the trickster.” He said, smirking.

“D-don’t tell me you were awake the whole time! A-asshole!” You stammered, blushing like an idiot.

Zoro chuckled. “Yes, I was~!”

You leaned yourself back against the tree, blush still laying heavy on your cheeks as you turned you head away from him.

“Awww, come on! Don’t be like that _______!” Zoro whined playfully, poking your cheek.

“S’ not fair. I wanted to get you back.” You mumbled.

Still laying on you, Zoro smirked once more at how ridiculously cute you were when you were embarrassed or angry. “Tsk, _______, you need to stop being so damn cute~!”

“Suck up.” You scoffed, trying to hide a slight grin.

“There’s the smile~!” He said playfully, reaching up and turning your head towards him.

“Jeez, you’re so different around me now.” You said. “Are you gonna be a grumpy asshole around everyone else still?” You asked.

“Most certainly. No one knows yet. I’ll give ‘em some time to figure it out.” Zoro said. “Speaking of which, where are they?”

“Oh, they’re fast asleep over by the fire. It looks to be midnight, so it’s only reasonable that they’re asleep.” You replied. “I’m wide awake though. Got a fair amount of sleep from this afternoon.” You added with a smile.

“Indeed! So, since we’re rested up, should we go on an adventure and explore this island for a bit?” He suggested.

“Better stick close to me. Might get lost with that direction sense of yours~!” You joked.

“Oi!” Zoro protested, issuing a slight frown.

You just giggled at his reaction, knowing that was how he would respond. He sighed and dropped the frown, just because he couldn’t possibly stay mad at you for long, especially when it was something as silly as that.

“Let’s go explore now!” You said, ceasing your giggles. “You’ve gotta get off me dude. Otherwise I ain’t going nowhere.”

“Awww, but you’re so comfy!” Zoro whined, pressing himself into you more and refusing to move.

You blushed slightly at his actions. “Oh, just get up!” You said, thumping him on the forehead lightly.

Zoro laughed and sat up, allowing you to move and brush the sand off yourself. “Silly marimo.” You added.

“Oi! Don’t call me that!”

“But you’re MY marimo~!” You said playfully. This caused Zoro to blush slightly, which was a rare sight for anyone. You then realized that you were still in your swim suit. “Hey, before we go anywhere, I’m gonna grab my clothes and change out of this. I left them outside so I’ll be back in a sec!” You said, running off to where you set your clothes down.

Quickly changing in the trees, you ran back to Zoro who was finally standing up and stretching.

“Your stuff should be dry too.” You said, jerking your thumb towards the tree his stuff was hanging on.

“So it is.” He said, grabbing it and putting it on quickly. “Shall we go explore now?” He added with a smile.

You nodded your head happily and ran off into the jungle-like forest with him, ready to explore.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

You and Zoro ventured through the forest, getting deeper into it with every step. The place was a lot bigger than you thought it was. Just for Zoro’s own reasons, he brought one katana with him just in case. It was turning out to be pretty handy, considering the thick amount of vegetation that blocked off your path. During the venture, your mind wandered about what happened between you and Zoro earlier, when it was still light out. You smiled to yourself at the memory. It was so silly the first time, and now, here you were with Zoro, because he asked if you could go on an adventure together. The thought distracted you and your walking course drifted off to the side and onto a different path.

“Oi, I thought I was the one with a bas sense of direction?” Zoro chuckled, pulling you back on the original path.

You snapped out of your thoughts and blushed slightly. “I-I was just thinking about something, that’s all! Cause it’s boring out here. I wanna find something cool to explore, like a cave or something.” You said, changing the subject.

“Well, how about that one right there?” Zoro asked, pointing at a large cave not too far from where you were.

Your jaw dropped at how much of a coincidence it was. It was a damn big one too. “Uhhhhhh… sure! Let’s go with that one!” You said, instantly agreeing so you didn’t look too stupid.

“What a coincidence. Convenient for you, going by how you came up with the cave thing on the fly to change the subject.” Zoro added.

He knew?! Damn he was sharp on everything tonight. You just picked up your pace, trying to hide your slight embarrassment. You heard him laugh quietly behind you as you scampered forwards towards the cave.

Once at the entrance of the cave, you stopped and stared at it for a moment. It had a huge gaping mouth, and was extremely dark looking inside. The wind howled through it, giving an eerie feel to it, and increasing your scepticism on actually going it. Zoro caught up and stood next to you as you gazed at the cave.

"Dude, this cave kinda creeps me out…” You said uneasily.

“Oh? And I thought you wanted to go do something that wasn’t boring, like going in a cave! This cave spells adventure. Looks like an interesting place to me.” Zoro said with his usual smirk.

“Yeah, interesting is one way to put it.” You mumbled. “Alright! Let’s head on inside.” You said, speaking up with a more confident voice.

Just as you and Zoro entered the mouth of the cave, a cracking stalagmite from the darkness made you jump suddenly.

“Jesus balls man. This is gonna be one hell of an adventure alright.” You murmured to yourself, feeling a slight regret as you pushed forward into the darkness of the cave.

Once inside the cave, everything was pitch black. The only light near was the small amount of moonlight that shone through the mouth of the cave, but even that disappeared as you walked deeper into the cave. Soon, there was absolutely no light at all. Your eyes took a moment to adjust to it, yet all you could make out were slight outlines of stalagmites. It was making you uneasy, the darkness, as you could barely tell where Zoro was. A rock fell from somewhere and made you jump back and squeak.

“Jeez, you sure are jumpy _______.” Zoro said.

“S-shut up!” You said stubbornly, pulling yourself together and walking forward again. This time, at a quicker pace, making Zoro have to quicken his own pace just to keep up with you.

At your new pace, you soon came upon a bigger area in the cave. You slowed down and wondered why it was like this.

“Hmmm, I wonder if it echoes…” You though aloud. “Echo!” You called.

Your voice reverberated around the cave, pleasing you with the results. Zoro stood behind you and laughed at your amusement in the echo. You proceeded to make strange sounds and have them bounce around in the cave, making you laugh with entertainment. You stopped suddenly though, a sound alerting you. It was faint, but it sounded like, flapping. Confused, you listened closer until the sound became louder and more clear. Squeaking was in with the mix, and soon, hundreds of bats flew out and down from the ceiling, scaring the living crap out of you. You shrieked and fell back into Zoro. He caught you and shielded you from the scattering bats, but a slight smirk was present on his face once they cleared out. Slowly opening your eyes, you glanced around for anymore bats in the area.

“Wow, that sure scared you~!” Zoro teased.

“Did not!” You argued, trying to pull yourself from his arms.

He chuckled and disallowed you to leave his grasp. “Looks like you need a body guard. I’ll take that position if you don’t mind!” He said, pulling you close and continuing on through the cave.

You blushed slightly and gave in, allowing him to take you through the darkness.

The cave seemed to go on forever, darkness not letting up. For some reason, the walls started to narrow along the path. Zoro was forced to let you go, as the walls were now too close together to allow two people to stand side-by-side.

“Why is everything narrowing like this? It’s kind of annoying.” You grunted walking ahead of Zoro.

“Aw, are you sad that I can’t hold you anymore?”

“No! It’s just annoying, that’s all.” You said, blushing slightly again. Man, he really knew how to get on your nerves. Looking farther forward, there was a slight glimmer of light you saw through a crack. “Light!” You exclaimed, bolting forward.

Zoro ran after you down the narrow path. You came so close to the light but the path was too narrow for you to walk through. Turning your body sideways, you slipped through the tiny opening and into another large area in the cave. You froze, staring at the sight in awe, jaw dropped to the floor. When Zoro finally came through, he started complaining about how hard it was to get through.

“Stupid cave. Hey, what are you staring at?” He asked, noticing you standing there completely frozen.

When he realized it, he nearly dropped his katana. It would be impossible to miss. Right in the centre of the cave, was a small hill, covered in grass. It glowed a neon green and spread throughout the cave. Around it was a small river circling the hill, ripples glowing a neon blue. In the ceiling was a hole, and the moonlight shone through it, lighting up the centre of the cave, right on top of the hill. Fireflies glided through the air around the cave and glow worms lit up the edges of the room with their turquoise colour.

“… I can’t believe this is here.” You said in a hushed voice. “It’s so beautiful.”

You began to walk to the centre of the hill, hopping over the small stream around it. You sat down on top of the hill and gazed at the fireflies floating around, reaching out your hand and smiling as they floated around you, occasionally landing on your hand.

Zoro came across the stream and stood beside you in the glowing grass.

“This feels like a dream.” You said to him. “I didn’t know such a place existed.”

“It truly is beautiful.” Zoro admitted.

You looked up at the hole in the roof at the stars above. The moon was full and shone brightly over the hole, millions of stars surrounding it.

“Zoro, look up. The stars.” You said, pointing up.

Zoro first sat down next to you and then looked up at the stars. Every single one of them twinkled brightly in the sky, making everything around you seem even more magical. A few shooting stars flashed by the opening and you smiled.

“Did you make a wish?” You asked.

“Yep. I wished that this could last more than five minutes.” He grinned.

“Hah! I wished that I could stay in this moment forever. It’s just so beautiful.” You said.

“_______, you know what would make this moment even better than it already is?” Zoro asked.

“No. What?”

“Well, they say actions are better than words, so I’ll show you.” He said.

Zoro leaned in close to you and pressed his lips onto yours, kissing you in his sweetest manner. It really did make everything even better. The fireflies floating around the two of you in the glowing water and grass made everything seem like a fairy tale. It was truly magical. You smiled into the kiss as you kissed back, leaning into him. The moonlight that shone through the roof was like a spotlight on the two of you, topping everything off and making it a once in a lifetime moment. When he broke away from you for a breath of air, you smiled at each other in the moonlight.

“You were right. That made everything perfect.” You said.

“Yep! I just had a feeling it would make everything perfect.”

“It was even better than the first time~!” You said, intending to tease slightly.

Zoro chuckled. “Well, the setting is always a big help.”

“Let’s stay ‘till morning. They won’t leave without us, and I don’t think I want to leave here quite yet.”

“Agreed.” Zoro said, laying back on the glowing grass.

You lied back with him and gazed up at the stars and the fireflies, the soft glow making you slightly drowsy. Soon, you had fallen asleep next to Zoro, head on his chest and his arm around you. It was rather a good idea to go out and explore. The place you found was extremely magical, and was a once in a lifetime experience that you were glad to have seen with Zoro, who truly brought the magic out in the situation.

Here's the promised sequel~!

Now i know Zoro may seem OOC, but a man can open up when hes around someone he loves~!

SEE? EVEN ZORO CAN BE SWEET. Even though hes a rather blunt ass hat LOL.
